RANDY WEBER
Throughout his life, Randy Weber has made it a priority to be a devoted family man, a faithful Christian and a tireless small business owner. For the past 40 years, Randy has called the Gulf Coast home, a place to start a business and raise a family. While juggling work and family takes great amounts of time and effort, Randy still makes time to be an active member of his church and to get involved with dozens of civic, charitable and non-profit organizations in the region.
Randy started his air conditioning company, Weber’s Air & Heat, in 1981 from scratch, and grew his business by demonstrating the relentless work ethic of a true Texan. Like others who have successfully moved from business to public service, it is Randy’s real-world experience in the private sector that underpins his commitment to lower taxes, his contempt for wasteful spending and his firm dedication to better schools. After establishing his company, Randy served on the Pearland City Council from 1990-1996. During that time, he was elected to serve as president of the Brazoria County Cities Association, where he developed an understanding of the area’s critical needs and their solutions.
Elected in 2008 to the Texas House of Representatives, Weber has earned a record that promotes principled conservative values. During his tenure in the House he served on the committees of Environmental Regulation, Public Education and as Vice Chair of Border and Intergovernmental Affairs.
In the Texas legislature, Weber authored and passed landmark legislation to protect women, young girls and boys – some as young as 12 years old – who become victims of human trafficking by giving them a safe haven, access to medical treatment, rehabilitation and the tools to start a new life.
Randy’s hard work in the legislature did not go unnoticed when he was awarded the Courageous Conservative Award by the Texas Conservative Coalition, based on his spirited defense of conservative values and tireless work ethic in advancing and defending conservative principles. He was also the recipient of the Taxpayer’s Hero Award from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility.
As a small businessman, Weber understands the trials and tribulations that our job creators face in today’s lackluster economy. Randy Weber will fight for the economic backbone of our economy by reducing the bureaucratic red-tape and job-killing regulations from Washington that stifle our growth and by cutting taxes on small and family-owned businesses, helping them to develop, prosper and create jobs.
Randy Weber strongly believes in the principles of our founding fathers and knows his city council experience, business acumen and conservative track record will be valuable assets in Congress. Randy has stayed true to his principles – and will continue to work hard to earn and keep your trust.
Randy has served as a Bible Study and Men’s Group leader and as the Chairman of the Men’s Ministry and is a Deacon at his church. He has been married to Brenda Weber, a Pearland schoolteacher, for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Alvin Community College and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. Randy and Brenda have three children and four wonderful grandchildren.
