DR. LACY HUNT

Dr. Lacy H. Hunt is Executive Vice President of HIMCO. He is an internationally-known economist and author of two books and numerous articles in leading magazines, periodicals and scholarly journals. For nearly 14 years he was Chief U.S. Economist for the HSBC group, one of the world’s largest banks. He was also Executive Vice President and Chief Economist at Fidelity Bank. Earlier, he served as Vice President for Monetary Economics at Chase Econometrics Associates, Inc. A native of Texas, Dr. Hunt held the position of Senior Economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the South, his Masters of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and his doctorate in economics from Temple University. Dr. Hunt is currently serving his tenth year on the Board of Trustees of Temple University, and is Chairman of the Board’s Committee on Business & Finance, Budget and Investment Policy. He has been a distinguished visiting professor at the University of the South and Temple University, and has presented at several conferences and business forums of the University of Pennsylvania.
