Everyone’s reason for becoming an angel investor is different. If George Jarkesy Jr. stopped being an angel investor, he said it would be like the world coming to a halt.
“It’s like inertia, once you put it in motion — if you stop it, everything stops,” said Jarkesy, a fund manager at Houston-based John Thomas Capital Management Group LLC. “You’ll notice that a lot of angel investors are entrepreneurs because we are enthusiastic about building companies, and that is what we want to help do for others.”
